Do you have a lampshade that's the wrong colour?
Changed your scheme and need a new lampshade?
This blog will show you another of the limitless ways of using Vintro Chalk paint.
The lampshade you can see in the image here has been printed badly. It has a linen/cotton type finish on the outside and a plastic interior, with metal fittings.
To begin painting your lampshade you need to water down your paint. It needs to be the consistency of milk. This will allow it to spread into the fabric. This can be quite messy so make sure you have covered up your clothing. Work around your shade painting in an up and down movement.
Leave to dry and repeat. It took three coats to cover my lampshade, I think this was due to the stripe pattern. on a plain shade, even with watered down paint two should be sufficient.
I also chose to paint the inside of the shade, two coats were necessary for an even coverage.
