Vintro Chalk paint will transform so many items around your home, so don't throw them out....paint them!
I began by giving the frame a wipe over with a soft cloth, just to make sure there was no dust or loose paint. Then I chose the gorgeous Vintro Chalk paint in 'Sage'. I gave the frame 2 coats of Vintro leaving a few hours between coats. Once the second coat was dry I was ready to put on Vintro Clear Wax.
I am going to show you the effects of using the Dark Antique wax over a colour and to do this successfully you need to first apply a coat of clear wax, this acts as a vehicle for the dark wax to move around on and avoids puddles of dark wax forming, if you have too much on your brush.
Talking of brushes, I always apply wax with a round or oval brush. It saves wax, if you use a cloth, the cloth will become saturated in wax and clogs the cloth, by using a brush you can reduce the amount of wax used and utilize the bristles of the brush to get into the moulding and awkward places a cloth wont go!
Vintro Chalk paints and waxes are available in the studio and online from Aitch Interiors.
